Comet Lovejoy C/2011 W3: an historic Ophiuchus Sungrazer

Comet Lovejoy (C/2011 W3) was a fuzzy 11th-magnitude blip on December 3rd (UT) when this photo was taken

Light Bearer with a Message from the Solar Logos and Constellation Ophiuchus

The story of  what started out as a small sungrazer who miraculous survived its close encounter with our Solar Star created a place in history for Comet Lovejoy whose date of birth in world consciousness was December 2nd, 2011 — Sun at the Alpha Scorpius-Omega Ophiuchus portal.

It was discovered by Terry Lovejoy from his observatory in Thornlands, a suburb of Brisbane, Australia.

Comet Lovejoy’s life expectancy was two weeks. It was predicted the Sungrazer would suffer the same fate as other Sungrazers before it as it reached out to touch the Sun on December 15, 2011 — Sun aligned with Alpha Ophiuchus.

But somehow this little comet miraculously did not die.

To those of us who know a little more than most about Astronomy, Astrology, the 13th Zodiac constellation, its coordinates and alignments, this was no surprise in retrospect. But we must admit we were on the edge of our seats, waiting to see how the drama was going to be playing itself out.

The critical coordinates for Comet Lovejoy’s rendezvous with destiny not only placed the Sun in alignment with Alpha Ophiuchus but with the old stinger tail of the Scorpion which, as impossible as it may sound, has been in the process of being transmuted into the forked tongue of a Southern Serpent of Light-Wisdom to complete the alchemy of the Scorpion-Serpent-Eagle Prophecy.

The Solar Logos provided the miracle that was necessary for the comet to be able to pass by unscathed. It scaled its energy output way back, virtually flat-lining.

This is just the X-ray graph but I think if you take a look you’ll get the point.

The Geminid meteor shower and a total lunar eclipse preceded a sungrazer comet Lovejoy’s approach to within 0.005652 astronomical unit from the Sun’s center or about 186,200 km (116,000 miles) from the searing solar surface. None of the scientists, solar physicists or astronomers expected it to survive its close encounter with our Solar Star but somehow it miraculously did just that.

The case of the wiggling tail

Scientists still don’t know why the Sungrazer’s tail was wiggling.

“Why the wiggles?” wonders Karl Battams of the Naval Research Lab. “We’re not sure. There might be some kind of helical motion going on. Perhaps we’re seeing material in the tail magnetically ‘clinging’ to coronal loops and moving with them. [Coronal loops are huge loops of magnetism that emerge from the sun's surface and thread the sun's atmosphere.] There are other possibilities too, and we will certainly investigate those!”

The Scorpio-Ophiuchus Team is sure it has something to do with serpentine energy, and/or possibly spermatozoon energy, but we doubt seriously that scientists will believe it.

Wait — there’s more – this just came through www.spaceweather.com this morning (12/19/2011)

COMET LOVEJOY IN THE MORNING: Noted astronomer John Bortle urges observers (especially in the southern hemisphere) to “begin searching for Comet Lovejoy’s bright tail projecting up out of the morning twilight beginning at dawn. The tails of some of the major sungrazing comets have been extraordinarily bright. Comet Lovejoy’s apparition has been so bizarre up to this point that it is difficult to anticipate just what might happen next … [including] the exact sort of tail it might unfurl in the morning sky.”

This just in! The ghostly tail of Comet Lovejoy was sighted this morning shining through the twilight glow of dawn over Australia. Peter Sayers sends this picture from Devonport, Tasmania:

“I was surprised to be able to see Comet Lovejoy in our Tasmanian summer early morning twilight with the waning Moon,” says Sayers. “The comet’s tail was just barely naked eye and perhaps a degree long.”

The visibility of the tail could improve in the days ahead as the comet moves away from the sun and the background sky darkens accordingly. Early rising sky watchers should be alert for this rare apparition. [finder chart]

Comet specs

C/2011 W3 belongs to Kreutz sungrazer family. This was the first discovery of sungrazer from the ground  since 1970! Most of the sungrazers are spotted by SOHO which recorded  1100 comets passing near the Sun. It was discovered by . “Comet Lovejoy” is another, more popular name for C/2011 W3 .

M.P.E.C. 2011-X16 assigned the following preliminary orbital elements and designation to it: Comet C/2011 W3: T 2011 Dec. 15.99; e= 1.0; Peri. = 57.14; q = 0.005 AU; Incl.= 135.93

For more on this topic including suggestions as to what the Light Bearer’s message may have been, and a narrative see:

The Solar Logos’ message is pretty clear. It has a mind of its own. What would NASA, solar physicists, Earth scientists and the military do with pure energy if they thought they could control it?

Solar Logos says, “Not in a million years.”

Where is Comet Lovejoy heading?

South. Here is its path through mid-January 2011.

About Donna Provancher

I initiated my mysticism & occult path with a course in Astrology from the Rosicrucian Fellowship in 1970. In 1987 as I was preparing to become a professional Astrologer I bought a sky atlas for fun and found constellation Ophiuchus walking along the zodiac belt. I was shocked. I've dedicated myself to evolving Astrology for the New Age ever since then. Let those with the ears to hear, hear. Take what resonates. Leave the rest.
