The Sixth House

This Astronomology Lesson answers the  million dollar question, Does Virgo contain a cosmic Crabby gene?

How did Virgos acquire a reputation for being annoyingly hyper-critical, anyway?

These are the kinds of questions that keep me awake nights wondering what went wrong. How about you? Why is the only female-angel-goddess sign on the Zodiac Belt not sweet, warm and wonderful?

The stars of Virgo embody in our Consciousness the cosmic energy of Great Goddess in all of Her forms from Isis to Demeter to the Goddess of All-Health Hygeia, Ishtar, Inanna, the Virgin Mary Mother of Christ, Mary Magdalene and Gaia, the abundant agrarian Earth Mother Herself. She is Maiden and High Priestess. She is Wise Woman, Healer, and virtuous Mother who selflessly feeds her young from the bleeding breast of her own body as the poor and depleted condition of the once verdant Earth attests.

Do these associations and the Astrological use that our Conscious Minds make of these things co-create the Truth of who and what they are to us, or are their form and existence a matter of cosmic fact whether we believe it, apprehend the reason or not? This is one of the great mysteries of life being debated by scientists, occultists and spiritualists as we all, each in his or her own way, scratch and claw our way through the last of the dark Age of Pisces (Believing) and into the dawn of the Age of Aquarius (Knowing).

Virgo-Ophiuchus Workshop

If there is any one sign that symbolizes the Ophiuchus Mission to Planet Earth, it is Virgo.

Constellation Virgo contains a zone whose intensity rivals that of the junction of Sagittarius-Scorpius-Ophiuchus wherein lies the Milky Way Galaxy Center. Hence the energy combination of Ophiuchus with Virgo has the capacity to heal the planet and humanity and bring productivity, abundance, prosperity, wisdom and all manner of good things to manifest in and on the body of our beloved Earth Mother in accord with the New Age alignment with Galaxy Center.

Here is the key issue, though:

For healing to be effective, it must not only be administered but accepted. This prerequisite is a product of the Law of Free Will Choice being instituted in the New Age. So when we are viewing the planet or humanity as in need of healing or the Earth as being a function in consciousness of Constellation Virgo or vice versa, all sorts of interesting questions and possibilities come to light.

Constellations as Energy Fields

Tropical Astrologers resist Ophiuchus on the basis that Zodiac Signs are pie-slice divisions of the heavens associated with the solar calendar, and that is certainly so.

But the original Zodiac Signs were asterisms — fields of stars, interlocking designs that came together like energetic puzzle-pieces that men began to use to transmit stored ideas that described the energies they perceived.

The “Signs” generated a different kind of energy in ancient times because people were more personally involved in their spiritual world and aware of their relationship to the Living Cosmos.

Like the personalities of men and women or the organs of our bodies these star fields constituted dynamic neighborhoods while still retaining their individuality, influencing us for better or worse as friendly and unfriendly activities transpired in their midst.

And then the Inquisitions of the early 1600′s forced Astronomy and Astrology apart on the basis that the scientific facts didn’t match up with religious propaganda. Astrologers over time began relying on the Ephemeris data compiled by Astronomers and stopped having to look into the stars for themselves. Hence they eventually lost touch with the direct experience of sighting and calculating events unfolding in real time as they ceased to have to view the sky for themselves. Birth and event figures — pie charts on a sheet of paper which may once have been for convenience of keeping notes — became all there was to see of the whole of the sky. Astrologers stopped drinking in the dynamic celestial energy through their physical eyes — the portals of Soul. Scientists lost touch with the Spirit that moves the clockworks of Heaven.

The Masons are very familiar with astrology, astronomy and astrotheology. They align all important commemorations, dedications, declarations, ground-breakings, grand-openings, and other events to coincide with astrological phenomena.

August 7, 1880 at precisely 10:59am the cornerstone of the Washington Monument obelisk was laid just as the Sun passed over Sirius. The day the foundation stone for the White House was laid, around noon the Moon entered the same 23rd degree of Virgo as the Dragon’s Head node. On the morning of September 18^th, 1793, the Sun was also passing through this degree of Virgo when the Capitol building was founded. When the Library of Congress was founded the Sun and Saturn were in conjunction in Virgo. And when the Scottish Rite Freemason “House of the Temple” cornerstone was laid on October 18^th, 1911, the Moon and Venus were conjunct in Virgo.

The White House, Capitol building, and Washington Monument form the “Federal Triangle” which mirrors on the ground, Arcturus, Spica, and Regulus in the sky – three stars that bracket Virgo. In Washington D.C. there are 22 full zodiacs secreted into the architecture, most of them highlighting Virgo. This is the highest concentration of zodiacal art/symbology in the world, compared with only 4 in London for example.

“On evenings from August 10th to the 15th, as the Sun sets over Pennsylvania Avenue, the Constellation Virgo appears in the sky above the White House and the Federal Triangle. Discussion of the relationship between Virgo and Ophiuchus begins in Ancient Greece with a discussion of Demeter, Asclepius and the Eleusinian Mysteries.

At right: This dancing goddess from 3300 years ago is probably the ancient Greek goddess Demeter, or, as the Romans renamed her, Ceres, the source of our word cereal. She is from Ugarit, ancient Phoenicia, ancestral Canaan. She is the goddess of the grain and was believed to have given the gift of agriculture to us. She dances here bare-breasted, holding two sheaves of grain and with her animals on either side.

In ancient Greek religion and myth, Demeter (/diˈmiːtər/; Attic Δημήτηρ Dēmētēr. Doric Δαμάτηρ Dāmātēr) is the goddess of the harvest, who presided over grains and the fertility of the earth. Her cult titles include Sito (σίτος: wheat) as the giver of food or corn/grain and Thesmophoros (θεσμός, thesmos: divine order, unwritten law) as a mark of the civilized existence of agricultural society.

Though Demeter is often described simply as the goddess of the harvest, she presided also over the sanctity of marriage, the sacred law, and the cycle of life and death. She and her daughter Persephone were the central figures of the Eleusinian Mysteries that predated the Olympian pantheon. In the Linear B Mycenean Greek tablets of circa 1400-1200 BC found at Pylos, the “two mistresses and the king” are identified with Demeter, Persephone and Poseidon. Her Roman equivalent is Ceres.

The Eleusinian Mysteries

The Eleusinian Mysteries (Greek: Ἐλευσίνια Μυστήρια) were initiation ceremonies held every year for the cult of Demeter and Persephone based at Eleusis in ancient Greece. Of all the mysteries celebrated in ancient times, these were held to be the ones of greatest importance. It is acknowledged that their basis was an old agrarian cult which probably goes back to the Mycenean period (c.1600-1100 BC) and it is believed that the cult of Demeter was established in 1500 BC. The idea of immortality which appears in syncretistic religions of antiquity was introduced in late antiquity. The mysteries represented the myth of the abduction of Persephone from her mother Demeter by the king of the underworld Hades, in a cycle with three phases, the “descent” (loss), the “search” and the “ascent”, with the main theme the “ascent” of Persephone and the reunion with her mother. It was a major festival during the Hellenic era, and later spread to Rome. The name of the town, Eleusís seems to be Pre-Greek and it is probably a counterpart with Elysium and the goddess Eileithyia.

The rites, ceremonies, and beliefs were kept secret and consistently preserved from a hoary antiquity. The initiated believed that they would have a reward in the afterlife. There are many paintings and pieces of pottery that depict various aspects of the Mysteries. Since the Mysteries involved visions and conjuring of an afterlife, some scholars believe that the power and longevity of the Eleusinian Mysteries came from psychedelic agents.

We’re only hitting the high points here. The connections between the two constellations Virgo and Ophiuchus and the figures who represent them are legion. We will leave it up to those who are fully dedicated to unearthing facts at the deepest possible level to go down the indicated side trails and to do the required footwork.

Key Planetary Relationships (Updated Information)

Mercury

As Astrologers and Astrology students are aware, Mercury is the Celestial Intelligence (old terminology: “Planetary Ruler”) speaking for Constellation-Zodiac Sign Virgo.

With the introduction of Constellation Ophiuchus to the Zodiac Belt, though it is not an accepted Zodiac Sign, its presence on the Zodiac Belt and its demonstrated cosmic influence in physical plane affairs demands respect and so we must look to the skies for the planetary source of a voice we can associate with Ophiuchus.

Mercury is the most readily-identifiable voice.

Pluto

In the context of the Mysteries referred to above, we must also consider the planetary influences of the other major characters in the Rites of Demeter since these myths are an integral part of the Oral Traditions that have gone missing since the days when the agrarian Earth and Goddesses of Life were honored on this planet. Hades, the Greek form of the Roman Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, plays a major role in the pageantry of life on Earth. So his role should be considered as integral in Virgo.

Chthonic ( /ˈkθɒnɪk/, from Greek χθόνιος – chthonios, “in, under, or beneath the earth”, from χθών – chthōn “earth”;[1] pertaining to the Earth; earthy; subterranean) designates, or pertains to, deities or spirits of the underworld, especially in relation to Greek religion. The Greek word khthon is one of several for “earth”; it typically refers to the interior of the soil, rather than the living surface of the land (as Gaia or Ge does) or the land as territory (as khora (χώρα) does). It evokes at once abundance and the grave.

Asclepius is considered to be a Chthonic god probably through his connection to Demeter. Later, in the popular version of the Myth of Asclepius, he was charged with Usurpation by Hades, God of the Underworld (his uncle) and killed for it by Zeus, King of the Gods (his grandfather).

The last of the Greek Myths may have ended a phenomenal season for Epic soap opera Poetry in Ancient times, but the series was revived when the IAU (International Astronomical Union) penned a new script bringing Constellation Ophiuchus onto the Zodiac Belt in 1930.

The most interesting recent episode of the resurrected Greek Myths soap opera aired in 2006 when the IAU demoted Pluto’s status from Planet to small body or dwarf.

Ask any card-carrying member of an Anonymous organization such as AA or Al-Anon. Resentments are a killer and we need to let go of them to Heal both sides of every conflict. Greek Family Portrait ~ Part II (Bedtime Stories) (We’re joining a story-in-progress:) The lots then went into my helm to render them invisible and thus preserve the integrity of the draw.1 But it didn’t matter to me who drew which lot. Had I not come up short and been given the last and lowest of the kingdoms to be awarded, I should have picked it outright. It suits me. Hades I am thus the keeper of the Gates to the lower worlds. To this day, as evidenced in the holy books of our conquerors the Christians, the hidden, unseen realm of conscious departed spirits, whither man descends at death, is called by my name Hades, invoking me thus century after century and millennium after millennium, keeping my name very much alive in god and human consciousness. Even Yeshua the Kristos sojourned here in Haides while he was awaiting his ascension; you can find it in New Testament: Acts if you don’t believe me. The kingdom of Haides contains wealth beyond imagining. Every precious and semi-precious gem, mineral and metal is born and makes its home here. The crystalline structures are virtually palatial, perfect in clarity and rich in color. These alone are (pardon the expression) to die for. And of course the unbroken natural cycles of organic life here transform physical substance into the best trans-physical mulch and nutrients. In other words, the prana given off by the subterranean food here is second to none. Souls scheduled to be reincarnated leave here healed and in perfect condition. I can’t say they seem particularly happy to leave. Let me put it this way: the wonders of my kingdom were sufficient to provide a rich and abundant life to my bride Persephone whom I had snatched from the land of the living rather than risk her refusal as I had seen so many times done to my brothers. Fear of the unknown is universal, I argued to my brother Zeus, Persephone’s father. Therefore I should be awarded the opportunity to show her I have what every woman wants which unfortunately in my case is hidden from her view since that is the nature of the lot I drew. And I don’t mind telling you, brother, (I said to him) I am quite happy with my lot. However, in return for my not adding to your troubles by battling you for more of the Earth’s surface as does our disgruntled brother Poseidon, you owe me this favor of letting me have your most lovely daughter Persephone on my own terms! (To which Zeus thoughtfully agreed.) And so, by the time Persephone’s mother Demeter had successfully impressed upon Zeus the dire importance of returning her daughter to her (Demeter was a single mother and the Goddess of the organic, agrarian Earth and all things that affect the abundance and prosperity of living, growing things), my beautiful Queen of the Underworld had been with me long enough to assess what her situation was, and she had to admit, which she did and not begrudgingly, that although she did miss her mother she was not unhappy here. Persephone & the Power of Choice Persephone and Hades Indulge me please while I attempt to set the record straight on an issue or two that I don’t know when I will ever get another chance to address. As to my Queen Persephone, her mother Demeter was adamant and pressured Zeus to order her daughter returned to her. Demeter was powerful and won her suit. Saying our farewells at the Gate, Persephone ate of the pomegranate I offered her, invoking the Rule which she as Queen of the Underworld well knew by then, that once one has eaten or drank in the Underworld, there is no going back to the world of form. Those who say my Queen was tricked are fooling themselves and misleading others. The truth is my Queen, when offered the opportunity to return to her former home, reached out instead for a compelling reason to have to stay in Haides where she had become the powerful Queen of a King who treated her well and tenderly and heaped wealth and position upon her to her heart’s content. She had in fact become more powerful than I in my own kingdom and I cannot say it bothered me a bit! This seed of the pomegranate fiasco caused quite a commotion upstairs, I don’t mind telling you, and that is the truth. As a conciliatory term in the ensuing mediation, I agreed to bend the Rules so that Persephone could divide her time between Haides and her mother, which essentially means if you think about it rationally, my Queen enjoys the best of both worlds and so do I. Persephone emerges from the Underworld in the Spring, heavy with seed ready to blossom forth and bear fruit in the land of the living. She returns to the land of the dead after all the harvests have cleared the fields and the warm wind has gone cold. Hence for two-thirds of every year while my Queen of the Underworld sojourns above ground I alone see to my Kingdom, a King without his Queen. I may be one of the few gods whose infidelities are in the least excusable. So tell me, which of the two of us do you think is the tricky one now? Surely not I!

New Mars in Virgo ~ Agrarian Nation

Anyone who tries to tell you the Zodiac hasn’t changed in 2,000 years doesn’t know the history of Astrology. As a matter of fact it’s possible the modern zodiac evolves from early star-signs that began to be developed, according to unearthed Archaeological evidence dating back 4 to 6,000 years or more.

There was a time in Pre-Greek Antiquity when Mars was an agrarian god. This was before the claws of the Scorpion were severed in Roman times to formally insert Libra between Virgo and the Serpent Holder. This resolved an ancient conflict between the Chaldeans and Babylonians and forged what was to become the 12-sign “modern” zodiac.

In summary, as frequencies continue to quicken and the Light increases, the influence of Mars in Virgo will stop acting abusively and take on a personality profile more in keeping with its true nature as ally of the Serpent Holder and friend of the Earth Mother. Mars will both return to its former agrarian compatibility and work proactively in the fields to halt and eradicate biological hazards and threats, all in service to humanity as indeed any planet, asteroid or other body should be when transiting Constellation Virgo Astrologically.

We are beginning to understand how our own Minds have been used as weapons against us. How many more examples do you need to see of how Astrology has been liberally laced with harmful subtle commands and auto-suggestions?  Even assuming somebody did it accidentally or it was okay at one time but now it’s not, if we allow these deleterious ideas to continue to be entered both subliminally and consciously in our Minds by way of our Zodiac Belt it is more than an error or mistake. It’s spiritually criminal and we need to embrace the antidote, administer it, and put a stop to this Astro-biological Trojan Horse virus.

I’m sorry to be harsh, but I’m out of sugar coating when it comes to what’s been done to the Earth and Humanity. I want these problems fixed at the point of error. How about you? Red pill, or blue?

Venus in Virgo is Fallen? (You’ve got to be kidding me!)

Did you say you wanted to see another example of an Astro-biological Trojan Horse virus?

True or False: Venus and Earth are Sisters.

Have you ever wondered why it is that relationships between women turn so ugly so quickly? Are you a woman with what feels like an inborn visceral distrust of other women?

Given the theme of Virgo, how could it be that Venus is in the sign of Her Fall when in this sign? No wonder Virgo women have a reputation for being hyper-critical and anal-retentive. If you were set up to fall, I’ll bet you would be too!

This is the kind of thing that really bugs me about Astrology and further supports my contention that whoever made up the rules of planetary dignity needed psychological counseling. And if you think subtle commands such as Venus is Fallen in Virgo aren’t intentionally slipped into your subconscious mind through the portals of a so-called spiritual self-help program (Astrology) then dip into some deep research in Women’s History (subheading: “Where Did Goddess Go?”) and take a look around at the deception and hidden truths that have been exposed lately.

I don’t want to scare you; I want to wake you up.

I get that Virgo is opposite Pisces and that Venus is “Exalted” in Pisces which means in the opposite sign (Virgo) technically She is in the sign of her Fall. I don’t understand why the opposite is not the case (Venus Exalted in Virgo with Pisces as the sign of Her Fall).

If you ask me, I don’t know why any planet has to be in detriment or fall — but that’s getting ahead of ourselves at the moment and I need to keep our eyes on the ball that’s in front of us.

If you can make sense of the old status quo, you’ve got me licked. I haven’t been able to reconcile it at all. You can follow the old rule if you want to but in the context of the New Age where we’re all trying to sort out the Truth from the Lies, the old rule is just plain wrong.

For that matter I don’t know how Mercury could be both in Dignity and Exaltation. Whatever the reasoning, it’s definitely time to rethink the arrangement. The 1987 Harmonic Convergence brought a Change Mandate in with it.

This Mandate states that all frequencies are changing. That means all systems on this planet are up for review, evaluation, and renegotiation or negation. Anyone who argues this point is in denial or has made a Free Will Choice to dissent because they don’t want to play by the new set of rules. Or they have an ego issue.

Thank Goddess for the Feminine Side of Ophiuchus (which is, by the way, the hidden Predominant side currently in the process of being revived from a near-death-experience).

You are witnessing a whole new level of natural compatibility unfolding between Ophiuchus and Virgo before our very eyes. Just think of the limitless possibilities for humanity that didn’t exist until Constellation Ophiuchus entered mainstream consciousness very recently and people began learning about it and working with it.

Hence the “Secret Wisdom” element of Constellation Virgo shall have to stand for now despite our distrust of people with information in hiding. The fact is the Serpent Holder constellation has been declared to represent a Divine Male figure and there’s not a lot we can do about it for now besides just Know the Truth.

We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For

It was somewhat of a shock when we were told We are the Ones we have been waiting for to take us into the New Age, but somehow we already knew that. We are the teachers, healers, leaders and way-showers. We are the builders of the New World. And we aspiring and practicing Astrologers and Astronomologers are the delivery system for the anti-virus and new neural network. We activate, water and feed our clients’ new 12-strand DNA which is already there and waiting to begin working its magic and miracles. Just turn it on, tune it in, and let go.

In your interpretations and readings for clients and friends, take responsibility for what you put into the Minds of your fellow human beings and brother-sister star seeds. Use the best and most positive values for the planets in align with the new frequencies, tell people how proud you are of them and their progress and watch them heal, blossom and grow before your eyes!

Virgo & The Arcturian Corridor

As planets, asteroids and other small bodies transit Constellation Virgo they come into alignment with Alpha Virgo (Spica) and Alpha Boötes (Arcturus) in the Herdsman constellation. These two stars are in near perfect alignment with one another creating a virtual if not actual Timespace Corridor.
