Alert: Since the date I originally compiled this page (December 31, 2011) USNO has changed the official time of December Solstice 2012 from 11:11 to 11:12 and Wikipedia has picked up this change as well. Until I have heard the official reason why USNO made this data change and there is consensus that the reason makes sense, Astronomologer will not be changing the original time given.
