Amanda
Well. Hello everybody. Welcome to the Astrology Hub podcast. Today we are going to be doing a deep dive into the astrology of December. The most important transit and how to work with them. And today we are here with a man who needs no introduction, the wonderful, magical Rick Merlin Levine.
00:00:26:05 – 00:00:30:01
Amanda
Rick, you’re in India. Thank you so much for joining us.
00:00:30:03 – 00:00:55:02
Rick
Not only am I in India, it’s 1030 at night here. And if I swat mosquitoes or something, I am outside. It’s probably 85, 80, 85 degrees. And this late at night and, and what a miracle of technology that, you know, that we can be on other sides of the world and still have this conversation.
00:00:55:07 – 00:01:02:22
Amanda
And I know you have a really busy teaching schedule, and I really appreciate you taking time out to be here with all of us. Thank you for that.
00:01:02:24 – 00:01:16:21
Rick
And, and and we’ll be doing this again next year. So I’m just dropping that seed to, astrology hubs that we will be back and go to India next year and it will be, first come, first serve once the dates are announced.
00:01:16:21 – 00:01:31:09
Amanda
So amazing. And I did hear that many of the students that are there learning from Rick in India are from Astrology Hub. So thank you for supporting Rick and his work. And yeah, get if they wanted to get on the waitlist for that. Rick. How would they do that?
00:01:31:11 – 00:01:42:04
Rick
Right now there is no wait list. They should just pay attention to my website or, or my YouTube channel. It’ll all start talking about it as soon as the dates are set.
00:01:42:06 – 00:01:53:01
Amanda
All right. Let’s dive into December. Do you want to start with the overarching theme, or do you want to walk through the astrology of the days?
00:01:53:03 – 00:02:20:04
Rick
I don’t know that there’s a single overarching theme. I do know, however, that I don’t think December is going to be quite the rock and roll that November was, or that January through June of next year will be. And although it’s easy to peg a lot of this on the American political scene, I think it’s way larger than that.
00:02:20:04 – 00:03:14:20
Rick
There is global stuff unfolding. That, of course, is always a reflection of our personal stuff. And so I think in December, I mean, we do have some key things happening in December. We have, you know, Mercury turning direct after it being retrograde. We’ll dig into that little scenario a bit more. But Mercury turns direct on the 15th, and oddly enough, Mercury is at the exact same degree on December 1st as it is on December 30th because Mercury is is is at 19 degrees on December 1st, it retrogrades all the way back to six degrees, and by the 1st of January or the 31st of December, it’s back at 19 degrees of Sagittarius.
00:03:14:22 – 00:03:53:08
Rick
And so it it may feel like in December there is some treading water, meaning that it may not seem like we’re moving, toward where we thought we were going yet. But on top of that, this month, we also have Mars turning retrograde, which is also part of a larger scenario because Mars turns retrograde on December 6th and it then turns in Mars turns direct on February 23rd of 2025.
00:03:53:10 – 00:04:18:01
Rick
And so we have, again, this kind of kind of this back to the future kind of feelings of of like, we’ve seen this movie before, but we’re not going forward, but we’re not really going backward, and it’s going to be kind of hard to get a sense of of how the month plays out in light of all the, the, bigger scenarios.
00:04:18:07 – 00:04:48:00
Rick
And then on top of that, we have several aspects that are going to be one, two, three plays where, you know, where there’s an aspect made and then one planet turns retrograde, it makes it again, and then the other turns retrograde, and then the other turns direct again. And so the aspect happens, in in three phases. And we have, we have a few of those that are quite significant.
00:04:48:02 – 00:05:32:20
Rick
And in particular, they involve, mostly Mars, but also Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto. And so we’ll get into those a little bit as we unfold the month. But what that really means is that that there are events that are already unfolding, that we now get to see from another side of the coin, or we get to see it’s almost like we it’s, you know, the image that I have is like, we’re driving along on an L.A. freeway and we’re in the far left lane and we’re like, on the 4 or 5, there’s seven lanes or six lanes, and we see our exit ramp coming up ahead and go, oh, shit.
00:05:32:22 – 00:05:52:00
Rick
I got to get over six lanes and, you know, in traffic and you and finally, you, you know, you’re panicking and why make it? And you finally get off and you get off on the exit ramp, and you driving in five minutes later, you see the same damn sign again, and you’re in the left lane again. And it’s like, wait, I thought I already did this, now I gotta shuffle this the other way.
00:05:52:00 – 00:06:15:05
Rick
Gets it’s, exit off the other side or whatever. And it’s almost like. It’s like each time these events occur, there’s different, events around them, but the overall dynamics are, are the same. And that’s really what, what plays through. And as long as we’re here and since this is the general picture, let me, let me, explain.
00:06:15:05 – 00:06:29:05
Rick
There’s really a few of these that are so significant. And it really gives December the flavor of what I see December being, for example, what’s my favorite holiday?
00:06:29:07 – 00:06:31:17
Amanda
Christmas Eve Eve?
00:06:31:19 – 00:07:00:16
Rick
It seems like every year. Yeah. There’s something astrological that happens on on Christmas Eve eve. Well, this year it’s really on Christmas Eve, but I’m going to call it, like, just a little bit late for my holiday. But on December 24th, Jupiter makes a square with Saturn. Now, although this is, late in the month, we’re feeling this, all month.
00:07:00:16 – 00:07:36:21
Rick
There’s no question about it that we’ve been feeling this even since the election. Since before the election. You know, on, on the first of, of December, the, Jupiter, Saturn square is applying and it’s about four degrees from being exact. And, and Saturn, which is turned direct, is moving pretty quickly into this square. And so what happens is that Jupiter and Saturn are two traditional astrology, the outermost planets.
00:07:37:00 – 00:08:05:16
Rick
In other words, Saturn was the end of the road. Saturn was the slowest moving planet, and all the inner planets the sun, moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars were all about our personal lives. Jupiter and Saturn were called the social planets or the social regulators, where Jupiter is expansive and Saturn is contractive and Jupiter and Saturn line up like like a new moon.
00:08:05:16 – 00:08:42:24
Rick
They conjoin every 20 years on the even numbered decades they conjoined in, give or take a year. They joined in 1940 and 1960 and 1980, 2000, actually early 2001, 2020, and they will again in 2040. However, in 2025, they are halfway they are at the opening square. And this dynamic is about the expansive energy of Jupiter being in dynamic conflict, engagement with the contractive energy of Saturn.
00:08:43:01 – 00:09:17:13
Rick
And at this square we have a dynamic conflict. What? Dana? Roger. An opening square. Dana. Roger called a crisis in action. What is it that has been growing that now reaches a point where we have to decide, what are we continue to grow with, and what do we throw away, or where do we pull back? And the fact that this is exact on December 24th is important, because the first time it was exact was in mid August.
00:09:17:18 – 00:09:44:07
Rick
And of course, in mid August in the United States, we were at the height of what became, you know, the craziness of of all of the unforeseen things that happened during the presidential election cycle. And yet we have to understand that the, Jupiter Saturn Square on December 24th is the second of three. It won’t play through until mid June of 2025.
00:09:44:09 – 00:10:14:04
Rick
And so again, we can see how the craziness of November is feeding into December. And it’s not going to be without its conflict. It’s not going to be without its dynamic engagement. But I’m not sure that it actually goes anywhere. And that’s, that’s kind of the confusing thing. The other Jupiter aspect that occurs in, in December is Jupiter makes a square and a half to Pluto.
00:10:14:06 – 00:10:55:05
Rick
Now Jupiter again is expansive and Pluto is the dark, it’s the shadow, it’s the underworld. And of course, Pluto is just moved into Aquarius. This will be the first aspects that Jupiter makes to Pluto once Pluto has moved or is now in Aquarius. And this Jupiter, Pluto says square or square and a half occurs on December 12th. And the first one again was back in August, setting the tone for what became not only the craziness of the presidential election cycle, but also in the world of the turmoil of the Ukraine, Russia conflict of the Palestine, Israeli conflict.
00:10:55:11 – 00:11:39:21
Rick
I mean, all these things are feeding into this energy. And the third and final one of these, Jupiter, Pluto, is in mid April of 2025. That’s two out of three. The third one is the Pluto that’s being half squared by Saturn. This is moved through the most dynamic. And although there’s no exact aspect in December, it’s still important to understand that this cycle, which began last May, the second one was at the end of September, of, of this year and the third and final one is literally the week after the presidential inauguration in 19 states.
00:11:39:21 – 00:12:11:05
Rick
It’s actually January 2026. So my point in mentioning all of these is that in December, we’re kind of like in the middle of some of these larger cultural shifts that have personal ramifications. In other words, just because they just because I’m discussing them as if they were out there in big and cultural, these same things are being reflected or maybe are reflections of what’s happening in our personal lives.
00:12:11:07 – 00:12:14:08
Rick
So these are all big deal things.
00:12:14:10 – 00:12:16:22
Amanda
Okay. So we have June by.
00:12:16:22 – 00:12:26:07
Rick
The way I’m sweating I if I keep doing this it’s like there’s a mosquito buzzing me. So just goes with the territory of India I’m so good.
00:12:26:09 – 00:12:35:06
Amanda
Okay. So we have Jupiter Saturn Square the second, the second one. The first one happened in.
00:12:35:08 – 00:12:37:07
Rick
August 19th of this year.
00:12:37:13 – 00:12:49:16
Amanda
Okay. And so this is dynamic engagement. This is there’s something about this like expansive contractive dynamic happening. And we have an exact square happening on December 24th. And then we.
00:12:49:19 – 00:12:52:05
Rick
We’re feeling it. We’re feeling it all month okay.
00:12:52:05 – 00:13:11:18
Amanda
Good. Feeling it all month. And then we have the final one in June 2025. So there’s some like do you think of these when there’s three exact hits of a transit. But because of retrograde motions, when there are exact, are these sort of like inflection points of the energy? Are they peaks of the energy?
00:13:11:22 – 00:13:41:15
Rick
Yes and yes. And they can happen days or sometimes even weeks prior or after, depending on where other planets are triggering these end or where these planets are triggering points in our own individual charts. But often there is a bump within a day or two of of whatever the exact, the technical word in astrology is the perfection of the aspect.
00:13:41:17 – 00:13:54:20
Amanda
And it does it depend on the like. I’ve heard some astrologers talk about the planets like certain planets. You feel more before the exact hit, certain planets you feel after that. Do you ascribe to that?
00:13:54:22 – 00:14:24:05
Rick
I subscribe to whatever any competent astrologer thinks is true. I don’t know, I actually think often it’s more dependent when you’re talking about transits to your own chart. I think like for an example, an Aries or a Gemini. Gemini may be so they may be trigger happy as bad use a bad word, but they may be so ready that when the event gets close, they already do it.
00:14:24:07 – 00:14:58:14
Rick
Whereas maybe the Taurus you know, or the Capricorn that moves at a more determined speed may not be so reactive, and it may actually be a day or 2 or 3 after until the actual thing occurs. So that that’s not planet dependent, that’s person dependent. But you know, I think, yeah, if there’s if there’s an aspect to, to, let’s say Uranus that may be more electric, like ready to fire, whereas if it’s a Saturn transit, it may take a while to play through.
00:14:58:14 – 00:15:02:19
Rick
But but yeah. Good question. I don’t I don’t I don’t know the answer.
00:15:03:00 – 00:15:20:00
Amanda
Okay. And I’ve also heard that the more attuned and I think you said this, the more attuned you become to the energies of the planet, the more sensitized you become. And you actually may feel things more than when you were less aware.
00:15:20:02 – 00:16:07:07
Rick
Oh yeah. And an absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. And I think it’s also important to understand, even in these social events, you know, these the mundane, these world events, the more aware we are, and the more engaged we are before the perfection, the less energy needs to be released at the actual perfection. And often when you look at like major events like, like the World Trade Tower bombing or, or, you know, whatever, the first diagnosis of, of Covid, which was within 12 hours, you know, the first mortality, you know, reported from Wuhan was within 12 hours of the exact saturn-pluto conjunction in January of 2020.
00:16:07:09 – 00:16:31:07
Rick
Now, those are often like, triggering releases. You know, if we had our health act together, if we had our whole sense of how we were working with these viruses or whatever, we may never have had this disruptive experience. But we as human beings are so out of whack that sometimes it’s that exact perfection at that moment that says, oh, you’re not getting away with this one.
00:16:31:07 – 00:16:32:08
Rick
Here it is.
00:16:32:10 – 00:16:53:08
Amanda
Yeah. Okay, so you brought up the Jupiter Saturn squares. You also brought up Pluto’s first Jupiter transits since Pluto has been in Aquarius, which is Jupiter square and a half. So says squee square, which you teach is just as important as a square.
00:16:53:10 – 00:17:26:06
Rick
Yeah, it’s it’s in fact, when it’s exact, it actually can even be more important because there’s a precision to it. With the square, we can feel engagement, we can feel dynamic interaction or conflict. But sometimes we don’t do anything. We just kind of feel it and we kind of stir up some more problems or whatever. But with the half square 45 degrees and the square and a half inch square is Latin for one and a half, like a sesquicentennial is 150 year celebration.
00:17:26:08 – 00:17:57:07
Rick
Ascui square, is 90 degrees plus 45. A half square is 135 degrees. And often they’re very motivational. Often we, when when one has a, half square or square and a half one is almost like forced to do something like in the moment to try to resolve the stress or tension. And it’s Jupiter and Pluto. Now, remember, it was Jupiter and Pluto’s conjunctions that were the most, oh, wow.
00:17:57:07 – 00:18:23:18
Rick
I don’t want to use the word explosive, but they were the most, they were the most intense numbers around the three bumps of the, Covid mortality, as reported that those three times in 2020 and early 2021, when Jupiter lined up with Pluto, lined up with Pluto again, and then lined up with Pluto again, you know, and and is that mean it’s bad?
00:18:23:18 – 00:18:47:10
Rick
No. Pluto expands that which is hidden and it’s coming up from beneath. And so often Pluto, Jupiter transits really open up energy and make us see things that were in the shadow and that we didn’t notice before. And that, of course, is exact mid-month or on on the 12th. But again, it’s a slow enough moving aspect that we’re feeling it.
00:18:47:16 – 00:19:10:03
Rick
Yeah. I mean, this is part of the, unease that every not everyone, but most people who are paying attention. Again, it doesn’t matter what side of any political or spectrum or any specific issue you’re on. Everyone is just feeling like this, you know, kind of like, you know, something’s going to happen, and I don’t know what it is, you know?
00:19:10:05 – 00:19:30:17
Amanda
Okay. So the in terms of the highlight reel of the things that you, you brought up in your I love when you call it your opening volley. You also talked about Mercury going direct on December 15th, and then you talked about Mars going retrograde on December 6th, where he’ll be retrograde until February 23rd. We have Adam Gainsbourg covering that specific.
00:19:30:19 – 00:19:34:03
Amanda
We’re just going to be talking about Mars retrograde next week.
00:19:34:03 – 00:19:39:03
Rick
I believe was the retrograde guide when it comes to the planetary cycles of retrograde. Adams brilliant.
00:19:39:03 – 00:19:39:22
Amanda
Yes.
00:19:39:24 – 00:20:15:18
Rick
But the thing about this, this retrograde, although I mean, and I’m sure Adam will do, you know, the deep dive. But the fact of the matter is that on November 3rd, I mean, just a day or two before elections, we had Mars opposite Pluto and Mars in late, cancer was opposite Pluto in 29 degrees of Capricorn. Now that Mars is going to be retrograde, it will make that second opposition to Pluto on January 3rd.
00:20:15:22 – 00:20:41:12
Rick
Now, I know that’s not December, but man, this is a December event because we’re feeling the the, bifurcation, the stress, the tension again, between the I mean, Mars and Pluto are like octaves of one another. I always say that when Mars and Pluto get into a battle, if Mars doesn’t win on the first hit, Pluto will always win.
00:20:41:14 – 00:21:12:19
Rick
And so we have the God of war fighting against the god of the underworld, you know, and and so this is the second one on January 3rd is really another piece of the theme of this month. And of course, then the third and final one won’t be until the end of April of next year. And so it’s really going to take that long for all of these events of October, November, December to play through till we really know what’s going on.
00:21:12:21 – 00:21:31:12
Amanda
Rick, you just said the God of War fighting with the God of the underworld. What is the what is the purpose? What is the evolutionary intention of that type of, intense transit? Yeah.
00:21:31:14 – 00:21:53:14
Rick
Yeah, think of it. Think of it as a tug of war. You know, all oppositions are like tug of wars, and we’re in the middle. And so it’s not compression. It’s not these two things pushing on us. It’s these two energies pulling away from the center. And and so the rope is so tight that either one is going to win or the other or the rope is going to break.
00:21:53:16 – 00:22:21:14
Rick
I mean, those are the three options. And the evolutionary consideration of Mars and Pluto is basically a fight. Mars, an assertion Mars for those things which have been hanging out in the shadow, that have been hidden, that have been buried. And so there’s an opportunity here for us to fight for a cause, to bring things out into the open.
00:22:21:18 – 00:22:57:11
Rick
Now, that might be, in some astrologers minds, a total Pollyanna way of looking at this, because often Mars has that, you know, Mars is in the Greek tradition, is a malefic, meaning it’s a bad ass planet. Why not? Because it’s bad, but because it’s hard to control. It’s impulsive. That’s hot. It gets angry. And although the ancients didn’t know about Pluto, if they did, Pluto would have been joined by Mars and Saturn as another malefic.
00:22:57:13 – 00:23:49:09
Rick
Because it. Pluto is another bad ass planet. It doesn’t mean it’s it’s bad in the sense of good. Bad. You know, it’s bad in as much as it’s hard to avoid the process. No, it’s impossible to avoid the process of evolution which leads to death, which leads to rebirth. Whether it occurs on an individual basis, whether it occurs on on a related basis, whether it occurs on a, ideas that you have ideas, whether it, even a species, one of the things about Jungian psychology and Freudian format or old depth psychology is that the devil you don’t know is way more powerful than the devil you do know, even if it’s
00:23:49:09 – 00:24:14:10
Rick
a difficult energy. And so part of the Mars, you know, part of the part of the Mars Pluto thing is that we can go into denial and we can then because of where? Afraid of fighting in the dark. And once we do that, then we strike out at a wrong target, then, you know, then then when things are hidden, it’s like we act out of fear.
00:24:14:15 – 00:24:41:19
Rick
And of course, we’ve been driven by a whole lot of different social conditions into this place where most people are afraid of the same thing from different perspectives. And so, you know, and so this Mars Pluto opposition, which certainly was at play on the election day of the presidential election in the United States, but it’s not going away.
00:24:41:19 – 00:25:09:07
Rick
And that’s the important thing. That’s why so many astrologers have said, regardless who wins the election, this these deeper issues are with us for a while. And it’s the Jupiter, Saturn, the Jupiter, Pluto, the, the Saturn, Pluto and the Mars, Pluto all feeding into this in December is important. And all of these things, even though the exact perfection of the second of these three doesn’t occur till January 3rd.
00:25:09:09 – 00:25:14:18
Amanda
That’s for me. That’s enough for the whole month. Again, like I got I got a lot going on. Oh my God.
00:25:14:19 – 00:25:43:00
Rick
Well it is, but we of course we have. We have a new moon and a full moon for that matter, although we had in November, we had a new moon on the 1st of November and the 30th of November. The fact of the matter is that the new moon on the 30th of November is actually on the 1st of December for people east of the, east of the middle part of the United States.
00:25:43:02 – 00:25:57:15
Rick
You know, you know, in Europe, in India, the the new moon will be on the 1st of December, but then we have another new moon on, on, on New Year’s Eve, eve, there’s another holiday, another just under threat.
00:25:57:17 – 00:26:20:19
Amanda
Well, you you mentioned striking out in the dark out of fear. I’m kind of trying to take, like, what can we do with with the awareness of all these different dynamic energies happening? What would you say? I mean, would you say to it one of the things Steve, Jared was saying last month when he was on our inner circle astrologer is don’t be afraid of the dark.
00:26:20:22 – 00:26:41:08
Amanda
Actually go out and embrace the dark. Go out and howl at the moon. Like really, it have an experience of the dark and recognize that you, you, you have a way to see in the dark. And you don’t have to just be reactive and be emotionally reactive. That was his message to us, at the at the new Moon at the very beginning of November.
00:26:41:13 – 00:26:50:09
Amanda
So I’m just wondering what what kinds of things can we keep in mind as we experience these energies and whatever storylines continue to unfold?
00:26:50:11 – 00:27:25:05
Rick
Great question. I, I, I like Steve’s response to that. I would say rather than just going out and howling at the moon because a lot of the fear will occur in a new moon when there’s no moon to see, you know, it’s really, when we find places that are uncomfortable, when we find places where that bring up our fears, whatever they are, you know, and again, we may have the exact same circumstance and have different fears about that same circumstance.
00:27:25:07 – 00:27:50:05
Rick
You know, one person fearing that this circumstance is really screwed up because it’s not going to happen. And another person, having just as strong fear, fearing that it will happen. I mean, in other words, and I would say that whatever your fears are, that you don’t need to go to Mars and and do something you don’t need to punch it doesn’t.
00:27:50:07 – 00:28:18:10
Rick
This is not an excuse to disengage or to go into denial. It’s actually what I’m saying is, is that the most important thing we can do is to engage the dark, understanding that our fear is based upon, things that may not be life threatening. Although I have to say that they can be for some people, obviously.
00:28:18:10 – 00:28:42:00
Rick
Look around the planet, there are people whose lives are being threatened. Our by our day by day, and we’ll probably see more of that. But for most people, what’s really important is not to go into denial about one side of the tug of war or the other, and to instead see where it is that our fear comes up.
00:28:42:02 – 00:29:22:12
Rick
And rather than trying to think through it or run away from just leaning into it, you don’t have to yell. I mean, yelling can be a way to bring up the energy, but just feel what it feels like. Just leaning into it enough that you can feel the discomfort without running away and without pushing forward. Because we have all the way through, April, May, June to all of these things play on through and just yelling a lot or just overreacting may stir up the energy even more and make it even more difficult to move through.
00:29:22:14 – 00:30:01:17
Rick
So I say that what we do, the the way we move through December, is by increasing our awareness, which means opening our mind to points of view that are not mine. That may be yours. Not that I need to agree with you, but that we need to listen so that our perspectives open. Because ultimately, it’s my sense that most of us, not all of us, there are people who are totally abraded on every which way of every spectrum.
00:30:01:19 – 00:30:34:08
Rick
But most people ultimately just want to be happy. Most people just want to get through this. Most people just want to be okay. And so when we see someone who’s whose position is so opposite your position, my position, our Mars Pluto opposition tendency is to other them to make them something else. And we may, you know, we we may not be able to avoid that on some level.
00:30:34:10 – 00:30:59:19
Rick
You know, there are people who will say that person is just stupid because they’ve learned everything out of textbooks and they don’t know what reality really is, and therefore they have an idea of how things work, but they don’t understand anything. And then there are other people saying, well, that person’s not educated and they don’t understand anything. Then the fact of the matter is that reality right now is avoiding all of us.
00:30:59:21 – 00:31:21:15
Rick
And and it’s really important that in facing our fears, it doesn’t mean that we need to go out and defeat them today, but it does mean I’m going to come back. Do I sound like a broken record? Think cosmically, act locally. What does that mean? It means love. The one you’re with. It means be kind. It means spread a smile.
00:31:21:15 – 00:31:51:05
Rick
Do something that pushes some energy in a positive way rather than a negative way. Because the way we will not get through this is by hate and by divisiveness. I don’t care what your politics are. And so that really becomes the Jupiter, Saturn and the Jupiter, Pluto and the Saturn, Pluto and the, Mars, Pluto. They’re all about widening our perspective so that we don’t overreact.
00:31:51:05 – 00:32:20:04
Rick
Malefics the problem with malefics Mars, Saturn and Pluto is that they’re hard to manage, and yet there’s something here for us all to learn. And I, you know, and I strongly believe that we’re either all going to begin to learn that whatever our perspectives are, are not completely full. And that becomes the I think, the only way we’re going to make it through this.
00:32:20:06 – 00:32:44:11
Amanda
Okay, Rick, you’ve given us so much amazing, amazing insight and awareness to help us through December. But to me, what I’m hearing is we’re getting like a mid story update, that we’re in the middle of these bigger cycles and there’s, there’s there’s more to come and some great guidance for what to do in this part of the storyline that we’re in.
00:32:44:13 – 00:32:49:23
Amanda
Is there anything else that you feel? You look at December, you’re like, they really need to know about this. What what would that be?
00:32:49:23 – 00:33:17:01
Rick
Yeah, yeah, we have I mentioned Mercury turning direct. So there will be things that will start to move forward on that level. But we also have, Neptune turning direct on December 7th and Kyra on turning direct on December 29th. And so where we were in this retrograde phase, you know, we now have Saturn moving direct. We have Pluto moving direct.
00:33:17:03 – 00:33:50:01
Rick
You know, the planets are actually, building up energy. Jupiter will turn direct. You know, it’ll it’s like one of the, the last ones to turn direct now, I think. But the point is, is that there is movement. But again, there’s these tides within tides, within tides. And it’s I think December’s going to be probably quite confusing for many people because because those people who, how do I want to say this?
00:33:50:06 – 00:34:33:09
Rick
It’s like, whether you were expecting the absolute worst to happen in December and January or whether you were expecting the absolute best to happen in December, January, I don’t think anyone’s going to be pleased by what they get. And I don’t think anyone is. And I don’t think most people, as we said, the worry. I think that a lot of things are not going to be, as drastic, as we thought, even though the larger scenario is that we live in drastic times, these are incredibly any astrologer who says they know what’s going on is making it up.
00:34:33:11 – 00:35:13:21
Rick
You know, people make it up. You know, they make they make stuff up. And because there’s so much that that no astrologer alive has ever seen combined with the fact that we live in a world that no one has ever seen with its technology, its instantaneous feedback, you know, it’s the the ability for consciousness, over most of the planet to change overnight again and again and again, you know, and I come back to Buckminster Fuller, his last book that he wrote, which I know I’ve mentioned many times over the years, and the title of the book was Utopia or Oblivion.
00:35:13:23 – 00:36:00:21
Rick
And he said that this was based upon the idea that when Roosevelt gave his famous this is a day that shall live in infamy speech, the day that Pearl Harbor was, was attacked by the Japanese. More people were synchronous and chronically synchronous, not synchronistic. They were synchronized. I don’t know what the word is in thought, because they were listening on a radio to something at the exact same moment, and that had never happened before, and that a bucketful said that over the years ahead, as technology continued to develop, we would have increasing waves of human connectedness over things that were positive, negative, positive, negative.
00:36:01:02 – 00:36:14:18
Rick
And these waves would continue to grow until one wave utopia or oblivion took it all out. And which way it’s going? No one knows.
00:36:14:20 – 00:36:15:21
Amanda
Oh, wow.
00:36:15:23 – 00:36:35:21
Rick
Okay, it may not happen and it may not happen this week, this month, this year, this decade, or even in the next 20 or 30 years. But the waves are getting bigger and everyone can see that. And that’s why people are so much on edge. There’s a wonderful book by, Tom Robbins called Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas.
00:36:35:23 – 00:37:09:02
Rick
And in the book, it kind of conjures up the image of when we were kids and everything was safe, and kids had these pajamas that had frogs on them were animals. And, you know, and we’re like, kind of going to bed. And we were half asleep in frog pajamas. But the image is based upon the frog that sits on the lily pad and waits for the slightest disturbance and then jumps and and in the book, Tom Robbins, the story of the book is that that we unearth.
00:37:09:02 – 00:37:23:06
Rick
We’re all waiting for the mothership to arrive. And there were all, like, kids half asleep and frog pajamas waiting for whatever it is to happen is going to happen so we can all jump. Lots of the lily pad. It’s a great image. It’s a really great.
00:37:23:06 – 00:37:54:05
Amanda
It’s so good. He’s brilliant. Wow. And as are you. Rick, thank you so much for giving us so many things to think about. And as you were just talking about the all of the consciousness attuned to certain thought patterns or waves of of information and how Bucky Fuller was saying this will either lead to utopia or oblivion. It just made me think about the importance of minding our mind.
00:37:54:07 – 00:38:20:03
Rick
This is why we do what we’re doing here. This is why what you do is such a blessing, because it brings a larger sense of these rhythms, these waves, these these synchronistic. No, that’s not the right word. Sync, synchronicity. There’s a word there. I can’t think of the word, but there’s this this synchronization. That’s the word synchronized ation.
00:38:20:05 – 00:38:30:19
Rick
Of these things that are occurring because astrology is ultimately about understanding what larger waves we are synchronized to, whether we, we’re aware of it or not.
00:38:30:21 – 00:39:00:11
Amanda
Yeah. And by attuning to what the cosmos, the messages from the cosmos, we can in my experience of it is that it’s like we can be anchored. That’s probably not the right word to use, but we’re anchored in a different frequency so that when we do tune in to the the human ups and downs and, you know, whatever, whatever we’re being asked to and train with, whatever thought forms the third dimension wants us to entrain with.
00:39:00:16 – 00:39:11:02
Amanda
We have a different source point in the cosmos. And so it can it can be so it’s so helpful. I mean, it is why we do it.
00:39:11:03 – 00:39:14:15
Rick
And how about instead of grounded, how about just centered?
00:39:14:17 – 00:39:47:03
Amanda
